Your information, held lightly.
We collect almost nothing, and we tell you exactly what happens to the little we do. This page is the plain version.
What we collect
Only what you give us, and only when you choose to give it:
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Your name, if you fill it in on the notify form.
- The variant you chose, so we know which launch to tell you about.
- Your name, email address and message, when you write to us through the contact form.
You can browse every page of this site without giving us anything. There are no accounts and no logins.
Why we collect it
One reason. To hold your place on the waitlist and email you when Ritual Alchemy is available to order. We do not use your details for anything else.
Who handles it
Two services process data on our behalf:
- Formspree delivers your signup to our inbox. It is a United States company, so your email address is stored on servers outside South Africa. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io.
- Google Analytics shows us aggregated usage patterns, like which pages are read most. We do not use it to identify you.
Cookies and similar tools
Google Analytics sets cookies so we can see aggregated patterns, like which pages are read most. We set one value in your browser's own storage to remember which state you last chose, so the site greets you in the right colour. That value never leaves your device.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works fine without them.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived technical logs of requests to the site, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
Advertising
We do not run advertising trackers, ad networks or behavioural advertising tools on this site, and we do not sell audience data to anyone.
Other sites we link to
Pages on this site link out to places like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Children
This site and our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them promptly.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until launch communications are done, and no longer than needed for the purpose you gave them to us. Unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details and they are gone.
What we never do
- Sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
- Collect payment card details on this site. When ordering opens, payment will happen on Shopify's secure checkout, never in our own code.
- Ask for more than we need.
Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. One email is enough. We will act on it promptly.
If you feel we have not, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
